Bass Reflex is what most people refer to as a ported enclosure. This offers a strong peak around its tuning and relies on the cabin of the vehicle for extended response above and below tuning.

Sealed is a great option when space is the limiting factor, it can also offer a wide bandwidth as long as the enclosure is properly designed for the driver.
